Parma Cucina Italiana

I looked for an Italian place nearby for friends in town. It turned out to be a gem! Gnocchi was pillowy and creamy. Marinara was divine. Handmade pasta and amazing staff. Please try this place and post pictures to make everyone jealous.

Enjoyed the facility. Service was good as was the food. Small cute place the smallness of it makes the place warm and welcoming. Food was very true what you would like in a good Italian restaurant. Look forward to going back,

I’d been searching for a truly good Italian restaurant since I moved here last year and finally found it. They clearly have some cooks who know what they are doing in terms of how to make deeply flavorful sauces. Service was friendly and excellent and it was clear they are happy doing what they are doing.

Italian food and the scene here is excellent. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I loved.

One of those rare restaurant experiences where everything is stellar. It's small, great for quiet conversation. Smallish but strong wine list, the server recommended food pairings were spot on. The food was wonderful. Perhaps my favorite part of the evening however was the warmth of the employees. Both our server and the manager (I think) Roberta were warm, welcoming, and friendly without hovering--Roberta visited with each table beyond a perfunctory check-in; she truly cares that everyone has a lovely evening. If we lived in San Diego, this would be our weekly Sunday night date spot!

Very delicious! The staff here are amazing and have great recommendations on choices! Definitely a try if you're in town.

I really enjoy going to this spot. Very good people, very friendly people and they are always extremely nice to me. I think the prices are good and fair and the line is never too long.

We walked in at just the right time, between the different dinner rushes. Friendly greeting and a friendly waiter and I assume manager/owner. The food we decided(and ate too quickly to have any pictures for) was a salad for the lady, and the pork with balsamic reduction for myself. The pork was cooked perfectly. I lean more towards the rare side of meats when ordering non burgers, and this pork was somewhere in my top 5 dishes for pork. If that wasn’t enough, the peppers were cooked just the right amount and an airy mashed potatoes were the perfect compliment. The selection of wines was a perfect amount, not a mess of wines, but still with enough options for the foods. The beer selection felt more authentic to an Italian cuisine restaurant, with the Peroni pictured. Even if we didn’t get lucky enough to walk in with a 30 second wait, I would still go back and wait the 25+ minutes when we visit again.

This is my favorite Italian place in the area. Wonderful food! My favorite is the truffle ravioli. AMAZING

Authentic Italian in a quaint environment. The staff was top notch and authentic Italian and the food was great. Prices were reasonable too. I’ll definitely try this restaurant again.

This place is incredible. The staff is super friendly and gave great recommendations. I had the risotto of the day and it was incredible. The restaurant is super cozy. Perfect for a date night! I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant every time I'm in San Diego!

Exception family restaurant serving northern Italian cuisine. Delicious home made pasta and many specials daily. Service was impeccable.

This was perfect Italian food!I went based on reviews (I was near seaworld so this wasn't close but the reviews made it sound so good!) - and luckily enough...it totally lived up to everything I read.It was cute and quit and homey and the host and server were simply fantastic. I went with a work colleague and we had some of the best food....we had this amazing appetizer - Burrata Fiore di Parma - it was beautiful and perfect.The meal was amazing - such a reasonable price for the quality of food - you gotta go here!

Loved it. Entrees and pastas are carefully made. All delicious. House salad was just ok but rest extremely fine. Nice room and excellent service. Good wines at reasonable price.

All their dishes were amazing! I reserved a 4 table seat a few hours before dinner on Yelp since it was a Saturday night. We started out with the tomatoes and burrata appetizers and bread. The butter that they offered with the bread was mixed with I think brown butter, giving it a sweet taste, which I absolutely loved! 3 out of 4 of our dishes were part of the special: seafood risotto (the group fave), mushroom with ricotta cheese ravioli (wrapped like a wonton and very rich), pesto spaghetti with shrimp (so good), and salmon penne pasta from the menu (which was paired with a great creamy sauce). Would be back again for another carb load!

Always one of my favorite local places to eat. The owners are so personable, and always take the time to make you feel welcome and appreciated. This time I had the risotto and it was wonderful. It was cooked to perfection and the flavors were well balanced.

Service was fantastic! Servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Had the lobster ravioli special and much more! Amazing, little authentic restaurant that's worth the visit.Also had a cheese and meat plate - which was fresh. The mozzarella was amazing! It's a small restaurant, but it's packed with character. The wine was delicious - with a nice selection.We went for a company dinner and they were wonderfully accommodating and helpful. They didn't bat an eye at our orders or request!

Very nice small Italian restaurant in Hillcrest. There is a small, pleasant patio with heaters. Excellent salads and pastas.

Awesome service, awesome food. They had a special sea bass dinner that my Amiga had. It was awesome. I enjoyed a shrimp with garlic and pasta with pesto and marinara sauce. They did not skimp on the shrimp.

Great small little Italian place. Came by on Valentine’s Day and they had a nice little special going on. Decent prices and really good quality food. If you’re considering checking this place out, definitely do it. The owner came out and spoke with us, nice guy.

We had the good fortune of having Leonaedo,the owner of this restaurant, aboard our boat as our Chef. His Tuscan cooking is hands down the best and most authentic Italian food I have ever had. The pesto in particular was excellent. If you want authentic Italian food look no further.

Garfield would love the lasagna here. I finished a 4X4, fries and a vanilla shake from In-N-Out by myself, but I couldn't finish the lasagna because it was very filling. The space is pretty small though, but the waiters were very nice and friendly.

This is a cute small Italian restaurant. Service was good and the food was delicious. I ordered the lasagna the slices were huge, I would suggest sharing with another person. Overall I recommend this whenever youre in the mood for a nice Italian dinner.

Delectable food for us. This Italian Restaurant has beautiful dishes which are freshly an authentically made by their chefs, and it was extremely palatable. We had Ravioli w/ricotta cheese in truffle, mushroom cream sauce, Risotto ai Frutti di Mare, Burrata Fiore Al Parma, and Lasagna, and it melts in your mouth. Everyone of us enjoyed it. As for the service, the serving staff was very professional, accommodating, and cared that we enjoyed our meal. Even though some of their options are a bit pricey, but it's so worth it. Would recommend.

Had an amazing time at Parma! We were a group of 17 and did family style dinner. The service was exceptional, Alfredo was great with our group and provided great wine recommendations. All dishes were amazing, none disappointed, however the group favorite was the Gnocchi ai 4 Formaggi. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Always amazing!! The food is exceptional and the service impeccable. The owners, especially Francesca, provide perfect hospitality, even remembering us even though we don’t come as often as we’d like! A true family run gem! One of the best Italian restaurants in San Diego. Their TuesDate specials and Wine Wednesdays are the best. Alfredo has been our server many times and always is attentive yet allows us the space we need for a romantic dinner. Cant recommend enough!

The owner greeted me and was absolutely fantastic! I asked to sit outside and they turned on the heater for me. I am from Chicago so I personally didn't think it was cold, however he wanted to make sure I was happy. The food was amazing! I had the Gnocchi and I definitely recommend it. Staff was super friendly. Great little restaurant. I can see when it's warm out how you would need reservations. I will be back!!

Awesome service and delicious food! You won't be disappointed. Try the pork shoulder if it is on the menu. Don't forget to order dessert here. The Tiramisu and Torts della Nona are yummy. Have an extraordinary Cappuccino with it and you will end your meal completely satisfied. Absolutely delicious!
